Customer Service Training Day

What a brilliant morning we had at our Customer Service Training Day here at Macleans!

This session was especially for some of our team whose first language isn't English — and honestly, I learned just as much as they did.

Through games, role-playing, and plenty of laughs, we explored polite English for work, built confidence with clients, understood Irish workplace culture, and learned how to support each other as a team.

One of the questions we asked was, "What have you noticed that we Irish do differently in the workplace?"

Their answer? "You smile. You ask how we are. You ask about our day."

That was genuinely heartwarming — a real reflection of the lovely clients and teams we work with every day.

Staff went home with a certificate, a few sweet treats, and something positive to take away from the day. I think it's essential to undergo this type of training, don't you?
